I know it is a little early to talk about Christmas and the holidays, but I used to sing in a choir, and that meant we had to start working on holiday music early. So very soon, I will be breaking out my favorite tunes and posting them on this blog, replacing the Summer ones I like so much. I hope to get to that this weekend!

But as someone who is involved in a podcast myself, I have been listening to other programs to learn from them on several levels. One of the first I came across is The Christmas Stocking, which has been releasing episodes for several years now. I had a chance to correspond with the person who makes the show, and he’s genuinely interested in Christmas and all associated with it just like I am.

Online eduction is becoming a big thing. And why not? You can learn things according to your schedule, targeting your specific interests. You can even learn while riding the bus or Metro. It’s a perfect way to expand your horizons.

I’ve been a big fan of iTunes U, in which one can download for free all kinds of classes to listen to. One class I downloaded recently was about C.S. Lewis, one of my favorite writers. I learned a lot about his history and his theology, which was very helpful in my understanding of the man and his works.
