Thank goodness for a missing person story with a happy ending!

>>Holiday woman found after being stuck in mangroves for days

A 62-year-old Holiday woman missing for four days was found Tuesday afternoon neck deep in mud and tangled in mangroves along the shore of a lake, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

Kathleen Shino was removed from the mangroves as Pasco County Fire Rescue firefighters used a chainsaw to cut through the brush. She was taken to Community Hospital in New Port Richey in stable condition, said Kevin Doll, a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

The sheriff’s office and fire department received a call at around 4:30 p.m. from a pedestrian who heard faint cries for help coming from mangroves at a lake near Koala and Brightwell drives in Holiday, Doll said.

Firefighters and deputies found Shino tangled deep in the mangroves and immersed up to her neck in mud, Doll said.

Rescuers were able to safely remove Shino from the mangroves, and she was transported to the hospital.

Family members said they had last spoken to her at around 6 p.m. Friday during a routine conversation. They went to her home on Sunday afternoon and found she had left behind her personal property, identification and vehicle, Doll said.

The sheriff’s office was contacted and a search to find her was started.<<

It’s so good to read an ending in which the person being searched for was actually found! What a relief!

To celebrate, here’s a fun song called “Good News” by Matt Dusk:
