I had fun with friends as we played the Star Trek Scene It! game, then watched the ball drop at midnight last night! That’s always a nice way to greet the new year!
So, we have another 365 days to accomplish what we didn’t get done in 2010. I have some goals in mind:
One of the great things about pop music is that it is very difficult at times to understand what the singer is actually saying. Of course, anything that is open to interpretation can lead to humor, and this trend certainly does–especially with me and several friends from the U.S.S. Chesapeake. Why not? Hey, Weird Al Yankovic has made a living out of it!
What attracted our attention to this was a yearly day-by-day calendar from the website, kissthisguy.com. Obviously, the name of the site comes from the misheard lyrics from Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix, “‘Scuse me while I kiss the sky.”
The title of today’s blog entry is misheard from My Sharona by The Knack. It’s one of my favorites.
