Yesterday, I started off with videos of some of my favorite musicians. Today, I’m going to continue that theme and highlight even more of my favorites!
I recently did an entry about Joe Bongiorno from Seattle, Washington. I came across his music on the web, and again, it was love at first listen. Not long ago, he invited fans to attend an online concert he and some of his fellows were holding at his home, and I was happy to get home from work just in time to attend. It was great fun, the music was superb, and it helped me get to the end of a busy work week. Here’s one of his great songs, “Tears Of Joy.” He’s actually performing the song from the same location he was in during his recent concert:
Another musician I have really come to appreciate is Wayne Gratz. This song, “Bids In Flight,” doesn’t need pictures to go with it. It just sounds like the song title. By the way, I think the title on the video is incorrect!
Bryce Miller is a young composer/performer who has tremendous talent to share. He’s already made several CDs of piano music, so he’s now branching out some with other styles of music. I still like it all, so here’s a fun video he made for a Chemistry assingment complete with audio soundtrack:
David Lanz is one of the great musicians who made the transition from rock performer to new age. His sense of rhythm does make his music dance for me. A good example is this song, “Summer’s Child.” Sorry there is no real video to go with it, but I feel like dancing whenever I listen to it:
Yesterday I ended with a Carpenters song I particularly liked, “Happy.” Today, I thought I’d conclude with a humorous yet sci-fi offering of there’s, “Calling Occupant Of Interplanetary Craft:”
Tomorrow, the last in this series of musicians I like!
